WOLONG ESS: Innovation leads, honored with the Technology Award

On the broad stage of advanced battery industry, WOLONG ESS is like a brilliant star shining with unique light.

The 2024 Advanced Battery Industry Cluster Forum was grandly held in Shenzhen from October 17-19,2024. This forum, themed "Cluster Aggregation of New Quality Productivity Greening the New Momentum of Energy," focused on hot topics such as the construction of advanced battery cluster ecosystems including solid-state batteries, sodium-ion batteries, grid-connected energy storage and new power systems, and the development of zero-carbon industrial parks. It aimed to diagnose industry trends and provide new ideas for enterprise development and collaboration among industry, academia, and research.

WOLONG ESS has won the Fresh Benchmark Technology Award with its 6.26MWh AC/DC integrated cluster liquid cooling energy storage box product. This product has many remarkablfeatures: 

 

Firstly, grid segmentation control. The energy storage box is divided into 15 units, including both DC and AC sections. Whether in terms of electrical connection or physical space, grid segmentation management is implemented, ensuring that each energy storage unit operates independently to guarantee the stability and reliability of system operation.

 

Second, high granularity power control. Achieving cluster-by-cluster control, individual energy units are independently controlled and managed, fundamentally addressing the inter-cluster circulation phenomenon on the DC side. This allows for optimal utilization of the battery systems energy, significantly enhancing the systems utilization rate and efficiency.

 

Third, the deep integration of the two power systems. The AC and DC systems are integrated in spatial design, with DC not leaving the cabin. Meanwhile, in terms of system monitoring and protection, the Battery Management System (BMS) is deeply integrated with the Power Control Module (PCS) control system, achieving unified detection and control. Through dual safety protection provided by the PCS and BMS for batteries, precise status identification is ensured, and commands and execution are uniformly managed.

 

Fourth, higher system security. Multiple security measures are designed from multiple dimensions such as prevention, protection and assistance, so as to ensure higher system security in terms of electrical safety protection and physical space isolation.

 

Fifth, higher energy density. To achieve the maximum energy density per unit area design, only 8 sets of energy storage systems are needed, which reduces the footprint by 20% compared with traditional energy storage power stations.
